Patricia Ann Wight, affectionately known as Pat, Patsy and aunt Pat to her friends and loved ones, embarked on her final journey on March 22, 2024, in Anaheim, California, leaving behind a legacy of laughter, love, and unwavering faith. Born on May 31, 1947, in the sunny city of San Diego, California, Pat's life was a testament to the power of positivity and the strength of the human spirit.

Pat's early years were spent in Chula Vista and Douglas, Arizona where she laid the foundation of her education before moving to Anaheim. She carried the warmth of the Californian sun in her heart, which shone through in her radiant smile and the joy she brought to others. A proud graduate of Savanna High School, Pat's journey of service began at Sears for a short time then as a Case Manager for State of California. For over twenty-five years, she dedicated herself to helping others, making a profound impact on countless lives.

Family was the cornerstone of Pat's world. She is survived by her two beloved children, Jenni and James Wight; her cherished brother, Frank Mazon; and her dear sisters, Mary Lytton, Martha Baldenegro, and Kathy Adams; to her surviving nieces and nephews, she was more than an aunt; she was a second mother, a beacon of selflessness and compassion.  She was preceded in death by her parents, Ramon Santa Cruz Mazon and Esther Lucille Stevens Mazon, and her five brothers, John, Jesse, Ralph, Larry, and Ray Mazon. 

Pat's sense of humor was infectious; she had the rare gift of making anyone feel comfortable and at ease immediately. A woman of deep and abiding faith, she loved the Lord with all her heart, her Catholic faith being a source of strength and solace throughout her life. Pat's laughter was most vibrant when she was indulging in the excitement of Las Vegas, playing her favorite slot machines, or savoring the simple pleasure of crispy tacos. A passionate football fan, she cheered with gusto for the Rams and the Chargers, embodying the true spirit of a sports enthusiast.

The beach was a place of serenity for Pat, where she basked in the sun's embrace and even swam with dolphins, embracing the beauty of nature. But nothing compared to the love she had for her family, especially her mother and her children. For Pat, the perfect day was one spent surrounded by her loved ones, cherishing every moment together.

Described as loving, funny, and selfless, Pat's life was a living example of the power of giving. She made sacrifices for her children that exemplified the depth of her love and the strength of her character. People will forget what you said, people will forget what you did, but people will never forget how you made them feel." Pat made everyone feel cherished, valued, and full of joy.

Today, as we remember Patricia Ann Wight, let us carry forward her indomitable spirit. Let us live with the laughter that comes from not taking life too seriously, the selflessness that makes the world a better place, and the love that binds us all together. Pat's journey on this earth may have ended, but her influence endures in the hearts of those she touched.
